Diamond Lookup
Paste any diamond URL to compare prices across 100+ retailers
Carat Hunter keeps the price history of each certified diamond by its report number, across 100+ retailers. Enter a GIA or IGI number to see the stone's price range and how many retailers list it; with a Pass you see every price we have seen for it, each with the date we saw it.
Check a GIA or IGI report number
You can also paste the address of a diamond page from a retailer. We read the stone's specifications and certificate from it and find the same diamond at the other retailers we track.
Questions about report number lookups
How do I check a GIA or IGI report number?
Find the report number on the grading report or on the retailer's listing, where it is often labelled Report Number or Cert #, usually a 9 to 10 digit code. IGI reports for lab-grown stones often add an LG prefix. Enter the number in the search bar above. To check the report itself, look the number up on the lab's own website.
What does Carat Hunter show for a report number?
The stone's specifications, its price range across 100+ retailers and how many retailers list it, with the dearest of them by name. A Pass shows every retailer's price, each with the date we saw it, and the full price history.
Is the price shown the price I will pay?
Each price is the one we last saw at that retailer, shown with its date. Most retailers are re-read daily and some less often, so confirm the final price with the retailer before you buy.
What if the number is not found?
We may not track that stone yet, or the number may be incomplete. Try pasting the retailer's page address, use the Cert Decoder for a partial or blurred number, or search by the diamond's specifications.
