Frequently asked questions
Is F colour sufficient for a platinum setting?
Yes. F in platinum or white gold reads as colourless. Yellow or rose gold metal can reflect warmth into any colour grade, so the setting metal matters more than the colour grade in warm settings.
Will F show any yellow tint in an oval or pear?
Very rarely, and only at very large carats (5ct+). Under 3ct, F faces up colourless in every fancy shape.
