Diamond Market, Week 25, 2026
15 to 22 June 2026
Closing out week 25 of 2026, active inventory across the retailers I track sat at 33,169,668 listings. Lab grown share, 66.0%. Lab grown is now the larger share of the listings I'm seeing. Retailers added 1,762,178 listings over the week and closed 83,818, a net add of 1,678,360. For diamonds carried by more than one retailer, the median price gap was 88.9%. Median listing price for new arrivals, natural $1,051 and lab grown $1,027. That's 3.9% up on the prior week. The retailer spread widened 3.5 points, more room to save by comparing. Biggest move on the upside: Heart median up 164.2% versus the prior week, now at $1,700. On the downside: Other median down 25.8%, sitting at $1,335. Natural median listing price is 39.1% down on the prior week. Lab grown median listing price is 68.4% up on the prior week. Round dominated new listings, taking 38% of arrivals this week.
Diamond Market Charts, Week 25, 2026 (15 to 22 June 2026)
The five charts below summarise what the diamond market did during 15 to 22 June 2026. Each is a static image you can save or share. Together they cover where prices sit today, how inventory is moving, the lab-grown versus natural mix, where retailers raised or cut prices, and how much the same stone can vary across competing sellers.

Median price per carat across every active listing we tracked, plotted across the trailing periods so you can see whether the market is trending up, down, or flat going into 15 to 22 June 2026.

Total active diamond listings being tracked over time. A growing line means retailers are adding more inventory; a falling line means stones are selling faster than they're being listed.

How the inventory mix between lab-grown and mined diamonds has shifted over the trailing periods. Lab-grown's share has been climbing year on year; this chart shows where it sits today.

Median price movement for diamonds in each carat tier during 15 to 22 June 2026. Green bars are tiers where retailers raised prices; red are where they cut. Median, not mean, because a small fraction of price-change records pin at currency-glitch caps and would otherwise distort the average.

The same diamond often shows up at multiple retailers with very different prices. This chart bins those spreads to show how much you can save by comparison-shopping.
