Our Commitment
Digital Adventures Pty Ltd (ACN 697 144 531) trading as Carat Hunter is committed to providing a website and services that are accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We aim to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth), the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and equivalent international standards including EN 301 549 (EU) and Section 508 (US).
Accessibility is an ongoing process. We are actively improving the Service and welcome feedback from users who encounter barriers.
Standards We Aim to Meet
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA conformance target.
- Semantic HTML, logical heading order, and descriptive link text.
- Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements, including the diamond explorer and Lucy AI chat.
- Sufficient colour contrast (minimum 4.5:1 for body text), scalable text without loss of functionality at 200%, and respect for user-agent preferences such as reduced motion.
- Alt text on informative images, ARIA labels on icons and custom controls, and accessible names on form inputs.
- Screen-reader compatibility tested with VoiceOver, NVDA, and TalkBack on common browsers.
Known Limitations
We acknowledge the following areas where conformance is not yet complete:
- Some interactive data visualisations (price history charts, cross-retailer spreads) rely on hover and pointer events; a keyboard-accessible equivalent and accessible data table are on the roadmap.
- Parts of the admin interface are not in scope for WCAG conformance and are not publicly available.
- Third-party components embedded in the Service (payment flows, analytics dashboards) may not fully conform; we are working with vendors to close known gaps.
Feedback and Assistance
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or if you need content provided in an alternative format, please contact us at [email protected]. Include the page URL, a description of the issue, and the assistive technology you are using if relevant.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within 2 business days and to respond substantively within 10 business days. Where an immediate fix is not possible, we will explain the timeline and offer an alternative way to access the information you need.
Enforcement and Escalation
If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may contact the Australian Human Rights Commission, which handles complaints under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992. Equivalent bodies in other jurisdictions include the Equality and Human Rights Commission (UK) and the US Department of Justice.
